What is Art Walk Aurora?

Art Walk Aurora is a free art show located in Historic Downtown Aurora, Nebraska.

Art Walk Aurora was founded in 2014 by a handful of local artists and community members as a platform to encourage artists and art enthusiasts from the region to participate and celebrate art. This event organically grew into what we recognize today as Art Walk Aurora featuring local and regional artists.


Where is Art Walk Aurora held?

Participating artists will be located on the courthouse lawn.


When is Art Walk Aurora?

SUNDAY, September 22, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


Where can I park?

On-street parking is available in Historic Downtown Aurora including the following parking lots:

  • Hamilton Telecommunications (12th & K St.)
  • Heritage Bank (12th & L St.)

Will food be available for sale during the Art Walk?

  • Expressions
  • Food Trucks

Additional restaurants in Aurora include Pueblo Viejo Mexican Restaurant, Jo Jo’s Gelato, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and Runza.


Does Aurora have additional public art that I can view while I am in town?

You will find the Hamilton County Veteran’s Memorial located on the Downtown Courthouse lawn as well as two Nebraska by Heart sculptures which were part of Nebraska’s Sesquicentennial celebration in 2017. Additionally, you will find two Sandhill Crane sculptures located at the entrance to the 9th Street trail entrance to Streeter Park.


What other points of interest are located in Aurora during my visit?  

Aurora is home to many unique gift and retail shops, the Edgerton Explorit Center, Plainsman Museum and many great parks. Please visit these attractions via website or Facebook for hours of operation to plan your itinerary.
