As an educator and artist, my creative journey has been shaped by over 15 years of teaching art in public schools, including 12 years at Hastings Public Schools and 3 years at McCool Junction Public Schools. While I am a self-taught watercolor painter, my classroom experiences continually inspire and inform my personal work, encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and growth. My paintings focus primarily on animals and landscapes, subjects that allow me to explore both quiet moments and the expressive qualities of watercolor. I am drawn to the fluidity of the medium—its ability to capture movement, light, and emotion in unexpected ways. Alongside watercolor, I enjoy working in gouache, ceramics, and mixed media, embracing a variety of processes that keep my practice fresh and evolving. This collection reflects that diversity. Alongside my paintings, I am sharing small ceramic pieces and handcrafted watercolor bookmarks, each created with the same attention to detail and appreciation for craft. Whether functional or decorative, my work is rooted in a love of making and a desire to connect with others through art.
