Host Location Guidelines

Installation Dates

The building / business owner will provide artist’s with access to set-up their display prior to 9:30 a.m. the day of the event, during normal business hours or as arranged between the business and artist.

Art Sales

The artist will have their art available for sale and will be responsible for collecting all funds including sales tax. The building / business owner is not required or expected to broker any sales on behalf of the artist. The host location does not collect any commission on the sale of the art. The host locations primary role is to provide space for the artist to set up and sell their art.

Hours of Availability

During Art Walk Aurora, the building or business owner agrees to be present and on site from 9 a.m. –5 p.m. to open space for the artist, welcome visitors, and lock up the building at the end of the evening. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Interaction with Artist

Artist contact information will be provided in advance. Please contact the artist and make arrangements to discuss space planning, electrical outlets and anything else they may need. Artists are to provide their own displays. The building / business owner does not have to provide wall space unless agreed upon with the artist. The artist is there to promote and sell their artwork and draw traffic into your business.
We encourage the building / business owner to become familiar with the artist’s work. We also encourage business / building owners to utilize the event to promote your own business or building.

Marketing Benefits

As a participating host location of  Art Walk Aurora, we will list your business on our website, print materials and provide a sign to mark your location during the Art Walk event. We encourage business owners to take the opportunity to include your participation and artist information on your social media accounts and other business advertising.
